Animal is an emotionally charged theatrical experience written and directed by Mahesh Manjrekar.

At its heart is Dattatray “Dattu” Manjarsumbhekar, a small-town dreamer who leaves everything behind to chase stardom in Mumbai. He arrives with innocence, hope and unwavering ambition, believing the city will recognise his talent. What awaits him instead is rejection, loneliness and the unforgiving struggle to survive.

Presented as an intense one-man play, Dattu moves between conversations with himself, the city and imagined audiences. Humour, vulnerability and raw emotion collide as the boundary between his dreams and reality begins to disappear.
